Welcome to Wondermint. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Lumiere Platforms LLC (“Wondermint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your access to and use of the Wondermint website, web application, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Wondermint account. By using Wondermint, you represent that you are 18 or older, that you are the parent or legal guardian of any children whose profiles you set up in the Service, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms on behalf of your family.
You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law, or if your account has previously been terminated by us.
To use Wondermint, you create an account by providing your name, email, and password. You are responsible for:
You may not share your account credentials, transfer your account to another person, or create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission.
By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails from us related to your use of the Service. These include:
You cannot opt out of transactional emails while keeping an active account, because they are necessary to use the Service.
Marketing emails (such as product announcements, tips, or promotional content) are separate. We will only send these if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails or by emailing hello@joinwondermint.com.
We welcome your feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, and feature requests (“Feedback”). By submitting Feedback, you agree that your Feedback becomes the property of Wondermint. You are not entitled to any ownership rights, royalties, or other compensation related to features, designs, or improvements that incorporate your Feedback. We may use, modify, implement, and commercialize your Feedback for any purpose, in any way, without compensation or attribution to you.
The parent PIN and the switch between parent view and kid view help you separate parent-only features — like adjusting balances, approving trades, and managing settings — from your kids’ everyday view of the app. These are convenience controls for a shared family device, not security features.
You acknowledge that:
If you want stronger controls, consider the parental-control tools built into your device or operating system alongside Wondermint.
Wondermint is designed for families. Children do not create their own accounts. Instead, you set up a kid profile for each child inside your parent-owned account, and your child interacts with Wondermint through that profile.
As the account holder, you are solely responsible for:
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Any information about a child comes from you, the parent, and is treated as part of your account data. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle information related to kid profiles.
If you believe a child has created an account or provided information to us without a parent’s involvement, please contact us at hello@joinwondermint.com and we will investigate and take appropriate action.
You retain all rights to the content you and your family members create or store in Wondermint, including kid profiles, activities, rewards, balances, history, messages, notes, and Kudos (“Your Content”). Wondermint does not claim ownership of Your Content.
To provide the Service, you grant Wondermint a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and back up Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, securing, and improving the Service for you, the members of your family you have added, and the people you choose to connect with. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except as needed for backups, legal compliance, or to complete pending operations.
We do not use Your Content to train AI models. We do not sell Your Content.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for content created by anyone using your account, including kid profiles and co-admins you invite. You represent and warrant that:
Wondermint lets you connect with other people in a few different ways. When you use any of these features, the rules below apply.
You can invite another adult — a partner, co-parent, babysitter, or other trusted grown-up — to help manage your family in Wondermint. When you invite a co-admin:
You are responsible for who you invite as a co-admin and for actions they take within your family while their access is active.
Wondermint lets your family connect with other families as friends. When two families connect, the grown-ups and kids in each family can send each other Kudos and Thank Yous. When you send or accept a friend invitation:
You are responsible for choosing which families to connect with and for supervising your kids’ interactions with families you’ve connected with.
Blocking a family goes further than removing a friend connection: it also prevents that family from sending you future friend invitations. You can block a family at any time from the Friends page. Blocking immediately stops all future friend invitations, Kudos, and Shared Goals between your families. Historical Kudos already exchanged may remain visible in your history.
Kudos and Thank Yous your kids send to other families. When a kid sends a Kudos or Thank You to a member of a connected family, the message is first routed to the adults in your family for review before being sent. You can approve and send it, edit it before sending, or delete it. If the message is addressed to a kid in another family, once you approve and send it, it is then routed to the adults in that family, who choose whether to share it with their kid. Wondermint does not guarantee that any message sent to a kid in another family will be shown to the intended kid recipient.
Kudos and Thank Yous sent to your kids from other families. When a member of a connected family sends a Kudos or Thank You addressed to one of your kids, the message is routed to the adults in your family first rather than being delivered directly to the kid. You can choose whether to share it with the kid or delete it. Incoming messages from other families cannot be edited — they are shared as written by the sender, or not at all.
Kudos and Thank Yous within your family. Kudos and Thank Yous exchanged between members of your own family are not routed through this review step and are delivered directly to the recipient.
You are responsible for reviewing and moderating any messages your kids send to, or receive from, people outside your family, and for deciding what is appropriate to share with your kids.
When you put content in a place where other people can see it — including Kudos and Thank Yous, activity and reward details visible to co-admins or family members, and invitations — that content is visible to everyone with access. To protect the experience of all users:
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to investigate and take action against any violation, including suspending or terminating accounts.
Because Wondermint is a family app used by children, we have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. This applies anywhere content can reach another person, including Kudos, activity notes, invitations, and friend connections. Objectionable content includes anything that is harassing, threatening, hateful, abusive, sexually explicit, violent, encourages self-harm or harm to others, unlawful, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Terms, you can take action:
We aim to review reports and respond within 24 hours. Where content or behavior violates these Terms, we may remove the content and suspend or terminate the account of anyone responsible, with or without notice.
Wondermint is a paid service. New accounts start with a free trial. After the trial, continued use of the Service requires an active subscription. Throughout these Terms, “subscription” and “membership” are used interchangeably and mean the same thing.
We currently offer a 7-day free trial for new accounts. The trial gives you full access to Wondermint. At the end of the trial, if you have not started a subscription, your account will be paused and your family’s data will be preserved as described in Section 7.5.
We will send you a reminder before your free trial ends. If you start a paid subscription before your trial ends, any unused portion of the trial will be forfeited.
Trial length, terms, and eligibility may change from time to time. Any changes will be disclosed before you sign up.
Subscriptions are offered on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or annual). By starting a subscription, you agree that:
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase for iOS subscriptions, to your Google Play account for Android subscriptions, and to the payment method you provide to Stripe for web subscriptions.
Depending on the platform you use, your subscription is processed by one of the following:
We use RevenueCat to coordinate subscription status across these platforms. Purchases made through Apple or Google are subject to their respective terms and refund policies, in addition to these Terms.
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access until the end of the period for which you have paid.
Except where required by law or by the applicable app store’s refund policy, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused portions of a subscription, or subscriptions cancelled after auto-renewal has occurred.
If your trial ends without a subscription, or your subscription lapses, your family’s data is preserved so you can resume where you left off if you subscribe again. After an extended period of inactivity, your account and its data may be deleted. You can also delete your account and data at any time from Settings.
We may change pricing for paid plans. Changes will not affect a billing period you have already paid for. We will give reasonable advance notice of price changes for renewals as required by applicable law and by the app store you subscribed through.
We may introduce referral, affiliate, ambassador, or similar programs in the future. Specific terms will apply, and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue any such program at any time.
The Service — including its software, design, branding, logos, the Wondermint name, content we create, and all related intellectual property — is owned by Lumiere Platforms LLC or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our prior written permission, except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
Wondermint relies on third-party services to operate, including Google (Firebase), Resend, RevenueCat, Stripe, Capgo, Apple, and Google Play. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability. A more detailed list is available in our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings. Deleted accounts enter a 30-day grace period during which the account can be recovered by signing in again. After the grace period, your data is permanently removed, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would expose us, other users, or third parties to harm or legal risk.
Upon termination:
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We do not warrant that:
Wondermint is a tool to help families organize screen time, allowance, and encouragement. It is not a substitute for parental judgment, professional advice, device-level parental controls, or supervision of your children. You remain responsible for the decisions you make for your family.
You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important content.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. To the extent we cannot disclaim a warranty under your local law, the scope and duration of that warranty will be the minimum permitted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wondermint and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, or any damages resulting from:
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of liability for certain damages, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Wondermint and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington and applicable federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to first contact us at hello@joinwondermint.com and try to resolve the dispute informally. We will do the same. We both agree to negotiate in good faith for at least 30 days before initiating formal proceedings.
Important — please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.
Except as set out below, you and Wondermint agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service (“Dispute”) that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved through final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in court.
You and Wondermint agree that any Dispute will be brought in an individual capacity only, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding.
If a court or arbitrator finds that this class-action waiver is unenforceable in a particular Dispute, that Dispute (and only that Dispute) will be severed from arbitration and brought in a court of competent jurisdiction as set out in Section 14.6. The remainder of this Section 14 will continue to apply to all other Disputes.
The following are not subject to arbitration:
You may opt out of the arbitration agreement and class-action waiver in this Section 14. To opt out, send a written notice to hello@joinwondermint.com within 30 days of first creating your Wondermint account, with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out.” Include your full name and the email address associated with your account. If you opt out, the rest of these Terms will continue to apply.
For any Dispute not subject to arbitration under this Section 14 — including claims excluded by Section 14.4, claims by users who validly opt out under Section 14.5, or any Dispute arising before the effective date of this Section 14 — you and Wondermint agree that the dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If we materially change this Section 14 in the future, you may reject the changes by sending written notice to hello@joinwondermint.com within 30 days of the change taking effect. If you do, the version of Section 14 in effect immediately before the change will continue to apply to disputes between us.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.
