Wondermint (“Wondermint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Wondermint website, web application, mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Lumiere Platforms LLC, located in Washington, United States.
By using Wondermint, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Wondermint is a family app. Only adults 18 years of age or older can create a Wondermint account. Children do not create their own accounts. Instead, the account holder (a parent or legal guardian) sets up a kid profile for each child inside their parent-owned account, and the child uses Wondermint through that profile.
Any information about a child in Wondermint is provided by the parent, not by the child directly. We treat kid profile data as part of the parent’s account information. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and we do not require children to create accounts, log in, or provide personal information to use the Service.
As the account holder, you are responsible for:
If you believe a child has created an account or provided information to us without a parent’s involvement, please contact us at hello@joinwondermint.com and we will investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion of the information.
Account information. When you create a parent account, we collect:
Kid profile information. When you set up a kid profile, you choose what to enter. This may include:
We recommend using a first name or nickname only. You do not need to enter your child’s last name, birthday, address, or any other identifying information for the Service to work.
Content you create in the app. Wondermint is designed to help families track activities, screen time, and allowance. Content stored in your family’s account may include:
Family connection information. If you invite another adult as a co-admin, or connect with another family as a Friend, we collect the email addresses you invite, the responses to those invitations, and information about the resulting relationship (who has access to what, and at what scope).
Communications. If you contact us by email or other means, we keep a record of that correspondence so we can respond and follow up.
When you use the Service, we and our service providers automatically collect:
Wondermint is designed to collect only what’s needed to run a family activity and allowance tracker. We do not collect:
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the content you create in Wondermint (activities, rewards, balances, history, Kudos, kid profile data, etc.) to train AI models. We do not use your family’s information for advertising.
We share information only as described below.
We use trusted third-party services to run Wondermint. They process your information only as needed to provide their services to us, and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
| Provider | What They Do | What They Receive |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Google LLC) | Authentication, database (Firestore), hosting, cloud functions | Account info, app content, usage logs |
| Resend | Sends transactional emails on our behalf | Email address, name, and email content (such as invitations, verification codes, and confirmations) |
| Google Fonts | Serves fonts used in the app | Standard browser request data (IP address, user agent) |
| jsDelivr (Cloudflare) | Serves icon fonts used in the app | Standard browser request data (IP address, user agent) |
| Cloudflare CDN | Serves JavaScript libraries used to generate downloadable PDFs | Standard browser request data (IP address, user agent) |
| Capgo | Delivers over-the-air updates to the mobile app | Standard browser request data (IP address, user agent) and current app version |
| RevenueCat | Manages your subscription across web, iOS, and Android | Subscriber identifier, subscription status, email address |
| Stripe | Processes payments for web subscriptions | Name, email address, billing address, and payment card details (entered on Stripe-hosted forms; we do not see or store card details) |
We periodically review our service providers. The list above may change as we add or remove providers. The current list will always be available in this Privacy Policy.
If you invite another adult as a co-admin (for example, a partner, co-parent, or babysitter), that person will be able to see and manage the kid profiles you’ve given them access to, along with the related activities, rewards, balances, history, and Kudos. Co-admins have their own separate Wondermint account and sign in with their own email and password.
As the account owner, you can see each co-admin’s name and email address in Settings so you can manage or revoke their access. Co-admins see the display names of other adults on your family, but not their email addresses.
You control the scope of what each co-admin can see (which kids they have access to), and you can revoke a co-admin’s access at any time.
If you connect your family with another family as Friends, members of both families can send each other Kudos and Thank Yous, subject to the moderation rules described in our Terms of Service. When two families are connected:
You can remove a Friend connection at any time. Removing the connection stops future Kudos between the families and hides the connection from your active views, though historical Kudos already sent may remain visible in your family’s history.
We may share information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:
If Wondermint is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you (for example, by email or a notice in the app) before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We may share information for any other purpose with your consent.
Wondermint is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Wondermint is currently available only to users in the United States.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service.
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, or Oregon), you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@joinwondermint.com. We will verify your request by asking you to confirm it from the email address associated with your account. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Because Wondermint is a family app, information about children under 13 is provided to us by their parents through the parent’s own account. As the account holder, you can at any time:
If you have any questions about how information relating to children is handled, contact us at hello@joinwondermint.com.
Wondermint is currently available to users in the United States only. When we expand to other regions, additional rights (such as those under GDPR) will apply and this policy will be updated accordingly.
Wondermint uses only strictly necessary cookies and local storage to:
We do not use cookies for advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-site tracking. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may limit your ability to use the Service.
To improve the Service, we record aggregate information about feature usage across the app — for example, which features are used the most, what kinds of activities and rewards are most popular, and where users run into errors or friction. We look at this information only at the aggregate level to understand what’s working and what to build next. We do not review any individual family’s use of the app, and this information is never used for advertising or shared with third-party analytics providers.
Content that identifies your family members — their names, PINs, balances, and the content of Kudos and Thank Yous — is never included in these aggregate metrics.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), authentication via Firebase, salted hashing of any PINs you set, and access controls on our servers and databases. No system is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@joinwondermint.com.
Wondermint may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with any information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy indicates the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
