Cookies
Effective Date: July 8, 2026 Last Updated: July 8, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Wondermint (“we,” “us,” “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and web application at joinwondermint.com and app.joinwondermint.com, and on any mobile apps we offer (the “Service”). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. They help websites remember information about your visit — such as keeping you signed in or remembering your preferences — so you don’t have to set things up again every time you return.
Similar technologies include local storage and IndexedDB, which let a website save information directly in your browser without using a cookie. Wondermint relies primarily on local storage and IndexedDB for the purposes cookies typically serve.
2. How Wondermint Uses Cookies and Local Storage
Wondermint uses cookies, local storage, and IndexedDB only for essential purposes — to make the Service work. We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, analytics, or selling data to third parties.
Specifically, we use these technologies to:
- Keep you signed in. Our authentication provider stores a sign-in token in your browser so you don’t have to log in every time you open the app.
- Remember which profile you last used. When your family has both parent and kid profiles on the same device, we remember which one was last active so the right view opens on return.
- Carry invite links across sign-up. If you open a co-parent, babysitter, or friend-family invite link, we temporarily store the invite details in your browser so they still work after you create an account and verify your email.
- Remember your kids’ setup. Some features, such as a kid’s activity spinner, save their configuration in your browser so it’s ready next time.
- Keep the app fast and available offline. Our database provider caches recent data in IndexedDB so the app loads quickly and continues to work briefly if your connection drops.
- Deliver push notifications. If you allow notifications, we store a device registration token so we can send you reminders and updates (for example, when a kid requests a trade or sends a Kudos).
- Manage your subscription. Once billing is active, our subscription provider caches your subscription status locally so we know whether your account is in trial, active, or expired without having to check the server on every action.
None of these technologies are used to track you across other websites or to build an advertising profile.
3. Third-Party Services
When you use Wondermint, a small number of third-party services are loaded by your browser to make the Service work. These services may set cookies, store data locally, or log routine request information (such as your IP address and browser type):
- Google Firebase — for authentication, our database, hosting, server-side functions, and push notifications (via Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- Google Fonts — for serving the fonts used in the app’s design.
- jsDelivr — a content delivery network we use to serve icon fonts.
- Cloudflare CDN — used on-demand to load libraries that generate downloadable PDF summaries when you request them.
- Resend — used server-side to send transactional emails (such as verification emails and PIN reset codes). Resend does not set cookies in your browser.
- RevenueCat — manages your subscription across web, iOS, and Android. Their SDK stores a subscriber identifier and your subscription status locally on your device.
- Stripe — processes payments on the web. Stripe sets its own cookies for fraud prevention and to load its secure checkout components.
- Capgo — delivers over-the-air updates to the mobile app so we can ship fixes and small improvements without requiring a new App Store download. Capgo checks for updates in the background and stores version information locally on your device.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — if you subscribe from inside the iOS or Android app, your payment is handled by Apple or Google. Their platforms store payment and subscription information according to their own policies.
These third parties have their own privacy practices. You can review them at:
4. Your Choices
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers also let you clear local storage and IndexedDB. Be aware that if you block these technologies, parts of Wondermint may not work — for example, you may be signed out automatically, invite links may not carry through sign-up, or your kids’ setup may not persist.
Common browser instructions:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no industry-standard way of responding to it, Wondermint does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We do not track your browsing activity across other websites.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email.
